The Raypak Digital gas heater has a polyester coated, non-corrosive cabinet that is more durable than solventborne and waterborne coated metal cabinets. Every piece of sheet metal that gets powder coated goes through a 7-stage wash system making certain the powder paint has a perfect bond. Underneath the tough and beautiful finish you will find galvanized metal that offers superior rust prevention and years of durable service. No need for fans to combat drafting problems. This heater is designed to draft naturally in outdoor installations with its exclusive low-profile design. It is so thoughtfully and carefully designed it actually protects itself from the things that tend to stifle ordinary pool and spa heaters. It delivers uninterrupted heating performance regardless of falling leaves, wind, airborne debris, rain, downdrafts, updrafts, sleet, snow, etc. The Raypak Digital incorporates the latest in header design technology. Raypak's state-of-the-art engineering department utilized the latest in 3-D computer aided design to engineer the part for optimal performance. Polymer resin headers prevent rust stains from harming your pools surface giving you years of trouble-free swimming pleasure. All Raypak Digital gas heaters come standard with integral copper finned tube. This means that the fin tubing is made from one piece of extruded copper tube. Since the fins are integral to the tube, maximum heat transfer is attained. Every Raypak Digital has the same robust design tube bundle that we use in our large gas commercial boilers. Stainless steel tube sheets are used on all Raypak Digital heaters that use the Polymer resin headers. This allows for a completely nonferrous waterway leaving your pool truly rust-free. Standard with every Raypak Digital is a set of 2" slip fit CPVC water connections to make your installation secure and effortless. Standard on all Raypak Digital models is Raypak's Unitherm Governor, which helps reduce condensation from low inlet water temperatures. The Unitherm Governor automatically regulates the water flow to help keep the water temperature in the heat exchanger above 105 Degree F. Both water temperature and water flow rate are controlled to eliminate condensation, sooting, and scale buildup that can shorten heater life. No need to worry about large pumps or high flow systems. The Raypak Digital comes with an automatic bypass built into the header. You'll find that the Raypak Digital delivers the industry's lowest pressure drop and highest water flow rate - up to 125 gallons per minute - exceeding the maximum recommended for 2" plumbing systems. More hot water moves through faster and more efficiently.

REQUIRED FOR WARRANTY

SCOPE OF WARRANTY

Raypak, Inc. (Raypak) warrants to the original owner when installed in the contiguous 48 states of the United States of America with a pool or spa by a properly licensed installer will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for the Applicable Warranty Period. Under this Limited Warranty, Raypak will, at its option, repair or furnish a replacement for any defective part of the HEATER. The repair or replacement will be warranted for only the unexpired portion of the original Applicable Warranty Period or the Extended Warranty Period, as the case may be.

EFFECTIVE DATE

The Effective Date of Warranty coverage is the date of original installation if properly documented; otherwise it is the date of manufacture plus 30 days. All Applicable Warranty Periods specified in this Limited Warranty are measured from the Effective Date.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD – UNREGISTERED

If the HEATER is installed with a pool or spa, the Applicable Warranty Period is ninety (90) days from the Effective Date, parts and labor, for the HEATER and component parts.

EXTENDED WARRANTY PERIOD – SERVICE PROFESSIONAL

If, within 90 days of the Effective Date, (i) the HEATER is installed in a pool or spa at a single family residential dwelling by a properly licensed installer (in accordance with applicable state and local laws and regulations), and (ii) registered with Raypak (www.raypak.com) with an installation receipt attached to such registration, then the Applicable Warranty Period is two (2) years from the Effective Date for the HEATER and component parts. If the Heater is installed anywhere other than a single family residential dwelling, the Applicable Warranty Period for the Heater and component parts is limited to only one (1) year, parts and labor.

EXTENDED WARRANTY PERIOD – BUILDER, NEW CONSTRUCTION

If, within 90 days of the Effective Date, (i) the HEATER is installed) in a pool or spa at a single family residential dwelling by a properly licensed installer (in accordance with applicable state and local laws and regulations), (ii) registered with Raypak (www.raypak.com) with an installation receipt attached to such registration, then the Applicable Warranty Period is three (3) years from the Effective Date for the HEATER and component parts. If the Heater is installed anywhere other than a single family residential dwelling, the Applicable Warranty Period for the Heater and its parts is limited to only one (1) year, parts and labor.

LABOR AND SHIPPING COSTS

This Limited Warranty covers the reasonable cost of labor for repairs or replacements covered by this Limited Warranty, provided that said repairs or replacements are performed by a Raypak designated service provider during the Applicable Warranty Period and Raypak has preauthorized said repair or replacement. This Limited Warranty does not cover any travel time or other labor costs. Furthermore, unless applicable state law provides otherwise, this Limited Warranty does not cover any shipping costs to and from the service provider or to or from the installation site. All of the foregoing costs and expenses are your responsibility.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

This Limited Warranty does NOT apply:

if the product has been moved from its original place of installation, or if the original owner no longer owns the property where the original installation was made;
if the product is not properly installed with a pool or spa by a qualified licensed installer in accordance with applicable local codes and ordinances, good trade practices, and the manufacturer’s installation instructions;
if the rating plate(s) or serial number(s) are altered or removed;
if the product is modified in any way, or non-factory authorized accessories or other components are used in conjunction with the product;
to damage, malfunctions or failures resulting from failure to properly install, operate or maintain the product in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions;
to damage, malfunctions or failures from abuse, act of nature, accident, fire, flood, freeze, lightning or the like;
to damage, malfunctions or failures resulting from [or due to] connected system control devices;
to performance problems caused by improper sizing of the heater or electric service voltage, wiring or fusing;
to use of any attachment, including any energy saving device not authorized by the manufacturer.
to damage, malfunctions or failures from misuse or neglect, including but not limited to, freeze-ups, operating the heater with the cabinet door off, having flow restrictions or obstructions between the heater outlet and the pool/spa, or not maintaining a proper chemical balance (PH level must be between 7.4 and 7.8 and total alkalinity between 100 and 150 PPM. Total dissolved solids (TDS) must be no greater than 3000 PPM). In salt water chlorinated pools, TDS must be no greater than 6000 PPM).
to Raypak supplied anodes, which are not covered under warranty. The anode is a sacrificial protection device and will wear out and need to be replaced. Damage caused to the heater due to a depleted anode that has not been replaced may affect the warranty of the heat exchanger.
